Energy and system check

Evaluation of the power quality (as per EN 50160, EN 61000-2-4) and IT-compatible energy distribution.

As IT system faults due to EMC issues and damaged systems (e.g. via unauthorized circuit feedback) may cause production downtime whilst also jeopardizing employee safety, a link must be made to error-free electrical supply systems. This applies in particular to sensitive equipment such as data transmission systems, PLC controllers, but also supply lines for gas and water (risk of alternating current corrosion).

We carry out an energy and system check by checking the power quality and the TN-S-system compliant electrical installation of IT and other systems.

As part of measurement including analysis of the electrical supply system, a catalog of measures was prepared for improving and optimizing the energy supply. A detailed report of damage events provides information about the current state of the system.

Scope of performance

  • A visual inspection of the system containing the following points: Components, contactors, ventilators, connections, busbars, cables, checking the housing for damage or deformation.
  • Regular dusting and cleaning prevents creepage and short circuits whilst also ensuring that air cooling reliably takes place.
  • Measurement and logging the power values in the functional test
  • Creating a test report showing the current state of the unit
  • Further measures: thermographic checking etc.
