The Rogowski coil is used for measuring AC currents and is primarily employed for particularly simple retrofitting in existing installations with a choice of either on busbars or on power cables. The output signal from a Rogowski coil differs from that issued from a conventional current transformer. This must be noted upon connection. Janitza provides Rogowski coils that can be used together with a measurement transducer as well as Rogowski coils which are suitable for direct connection to suitable measurement devices.
The measurement transducer for the Rogowski current transformer RogoTrans measures alternating currents and has a standardized output signal of 0...1 A. The measuring range extends up to 4000 A, the power supply is 24 V DC. The design of the measurement transducer is very compact and can be mounted on a DIN rail.
