Maximum efficiency and avoidance of peak loads
The combination of a battery storage system and a photovoltaic system ensures maximum use of the energy generated. If not all of the energy from the PV system is used, this surplus can be loaded into the storage system to cover peak loads or night-time demand, making combined PV/BESS use highly effective.
This way, power peaks can be absorbed and the grid connection point relieved.
Monitor pwer quality and energy flow
By monitoring power quality at the battery energy storage system operators can identify potential issues such as voltage fluctuations or distortions and intervene early to enhance system performance and prevent damage to batteries.
Additionally, power quality monitoring enables a more precise analysis of energy flow within the system, leading to a more efficient utilization of battery capacity and reduced operational costs, e.g. through Cost center accounting of energy costs, data logger, metering function, kWh, kvarh. Furthermore, the measurements serve to assess the company's carbon footprint.
